SAS Licenses For 2008-2009 Available
The 2008-2009 licenses for SAS software are now available on the Software Center for Case students, faculty and staff. The software version (9.1.3 SP4) remains the same from last year. If you have the current software installed, you only need to renew the license. The installer will prompt you to choose between a new install or a renewal.
SAS is available to students at no charge and is distributed as a electronic download for Windows only. Faculty and Staff can purchase SAS licenses for $70 each and media is available for an additional $40. There is also a Linux version available to faculty and staff as a media only distribution for $110.
This distribution includes SAS Base, Genetics and Enterprise Miner.
SAS provides a scalable, integrated software environment specially designed for data access, transformation and reporting. It includes a fourth-generation programming language; ready-to-use programs for data manipulation, information storage and retrieval, descriptive statistics and report writing; and a powerful macro facility that reduces programming time and maintenance headaches.
